Meet the Team

Amalgamate Consulting is made up of a team of experienced, practical infection prevention and control specialists — each bringing real, hands-on dental industry experience to the practices we support.

Dr Roslyn Franklin

Dentist, Educator & Infection Prevention and Control Consultant — Director, Amalgamate Consulting

Roslyn returned to Perth, Western Australia to study dentistry, graduating from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1994. She began her career caring for regional and remote communities in Kalgoorlie, including through the Royal Flying Doctor Service, before settling into public and private practice in Bunbury.

Alongside clinical work, Roslyn developed a passion for education — running oral health promotion programs for babies and school children, then training and mentoring dental assistants, completing a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment along the way.

In 2015, a colleague's request for help with practice accreditation sparked an unexpected career shift: the creation of Amalgamate Consulting. Since then, Roslyn has become a respected voice in infection prevention and control — serving on committees with the Australasian College of Infection Prevention and Control (ACIPC), contributing to professional education across Australia, and leading the dental infection control chapter of Healthcare-Associated Infections in Australia: Principles and Practice of Infection Prevention and Control.

She holds a Graduate Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control from Griffith University, a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
