Lesson 1 - Steam Steriliser Servicing and Validation (25 min)

• Be aware of the difference between 'servicing' and 'validation'.
• Be able to explain what is involved in 'validation' in simple terms.
• Understand the 3 tests used for validation of steam sterilisers.
• Know how often 'servicing' and 'validation' should occur
• Understand the importance of keeping all servicing and validation reports.

 Lesson 2 -  Water Quality and Water Testing (10 min)

• Learn why you can't use tap water in a steam steriliser.
• Learn how to test water quality to keep your steam steriliser functioning properly with a TDS meter.

 Lesson 3 - Pre-use Testing Q&A with Steve Lines (15 min)

• Learn from this more in-depth Q&A about the reasons behind the pre-use tests: Leak (Vacuum) test and Air Removal and Steam Penetration Test (eg. Helix/Bowie-Dick) test.
